Remember lunch period? Remember sitting around the lunch table with classmates and enjoying the mid-day break? As of now the children at Nava School have no central lunchroom where they share a meal. During lunch break many of the children simply return to their desks with their food. If the children want to have lunch with a friend they have to find a bench or sometimes a cinderblock to sit on with their food resting in their laps.Once the pavilion and new kitchen are completed all the children of Nava School will be able to enjoy lunch together. The pavilion will also serve as a much needed shaded assembly area for the students, teachers, and staff. We are in the final stages of construction and need to put a roof over the existing pavilion.
