School Update

Many changes have been made at Nava School in the last few weeks and the school has continued to make great progress! One major modification that has occurred is the changing of the school’s education system into an Integrated Learning System. Our Integrated Learning System targets four main areas of a child’s life: body, mind, heart, and spirit. With a heavy concentration in these 4 areas, we hope to form well-rounded students who are healthy, educated, and spiritually developed.

The school has also had more physical adjustments. The principal’s office was moved to a larger classroom and we added an English lab in the old principal’s office. Starting this week I will be teaching English to all grades on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We are also working to add Drama and Art classes to our curriculum. The next physical project we are hoping to complete is the roof for the cafeteria patio so the children will be able to sit outside and eat their meals.

The faculty, staff, and all the children at the school are very excited about the new changes. Many parents are getting more involved at the school and are willing to help in any way that they can. Recently some of the student’s parents formed a PTA, and are meeting on a weekly basis. We are continuing to make great strides to improve the school and continue to ask for your prayers and support in our work.
