The greatest mission field is right outside of every person's front door. Here in Adairsville, we are beginning to help with a food ministry that provides groceries for families during financially difficult times. In the fall of 2007 we were blessed to open Heavenly Hand Me Downs, a second-hand store where people can get clothing, furniture, and other necessities in exchange for whatever donation they can afford. The store also allows us the opportunity to talk to our customers about their lives and to pray with them about any burdens or issues they may be dealing with in their lives. To donate groceries, gently used clothing, other items, or to volunteer at the store, please email Michelle at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Hands and Feet also has a Disaster Relief Team that is deployed in immediate response to natural disasters. H&F set up camp in Biloxi for a year and a half after Hurricane Katrina to minister, offer medical care, and to help with the rebuilding effort. Teams were also sent after the series of hurricanes in Florida in 2004. H&F's Disaster Relief Team has also gone to Piedras Negras, Mexico to help after the devastation caused by a terrible flood in 2005 and a tornado in April of 2007. In the case of a natural disaster, check the website to see how you can help H&F's response efforts. |
