Teams have a wide variety of projects to be involved in, including preparing and serving lunch at the ministry center for 130-150 children daily, construction projects including a new trade school, medical/dental clinics, hair care for the children, developing a clothes closet, painting murals in local schools, etc. Teams with unique gifts are encouraged to let us know so that projects utilizing those gifts can be organized for your trip (ie: a team with several athletes may want to lead a sports day camp).
Cost
*Based on week long trip. Includes all food, housing, transportation while in Guatemala, translators, project funds, and t-shirt. Flight to/from Guatemala not included. |
H&F is proud to partner with Hope for Guatemala, a ministry reaching out to people in Zone 18 of Guatemala City. Hope for Guatemala is a non-profit Christian organization that offers a safe place for students to come before and after school. At their Center, the students receive lunch, help with schoolwork, and daily Bible study. The Center also coaches three soccer teams, teaching their athletes the value of discipline, honor, and respect.
