We have been working in Piedras Negras for over seven years, and often refer to it as our home away from home. With construction being our main outreach in Piedras, we have built an orphanage, schools, several churches, and helped with disaster relief projects. Currently, we are building an elementary school in one of the most impoverished areas of the county that will provide a Christian education for up to 120 children a year. We are also working on improvements to an orphanage that has very little financial support. In addition to construction we are also involved in many different types of outreach, like Vacation Bible School, community service projects, health/medical clinics, and much more. Manos y Pies, Hands and Feet’s local sister ministry, has been organizing public evangelism events, concerts, and is looking into projects involving theological education. Piedras Negras is a place with such great needs that there are endless opportunities to serve in whatever way God has gifted you.
H&F also offers opportunities to serve in the cities of Guerrero, Monclova, and Nava doing similar activities while getting a completely different experience. We look forward to becoming increasingly involved in ministering to these charming towns where building relationships is our focus. Cost
*Based on arrival Sunday afternoon and Friday morning departure. Includes all food, housing, water, team fees, t-shirt, and international insurance. Does not include transportation to/from Mexico or construction materials if doing construction outreach.

Piedras Negras, Cohuila is a border town that sits directly across the Rio Grande from Eagle Pass TX, two and a half hours south of San Antonio. Although the city has seen a boost in its economy in the past few years, the minimum wage is still less than $1 an hour. The city represents the same kind of poverty that one would find in much of Latin America.
